Our Coaches’ Pledge:
I understand that as a high school wrestling coach, I am a role model.
A great coach represents good sportsmanship, fairness and respect toward his or her athletes, their parents, referees and opponents. I promise to teach the skills and techniques of wrestling, including how to win or lose graciously and show respect for the ruling of the referees.
Like all sports, wrestling should be educational and fun, as it is a platform to prepare student-athletes with life skills such as discipline and accountability. I will provide a safe, enjoyable and abuse-free work environment that promotes the well-being of my athletes above winning.
By signing this pledge, I acknowledge these expectations and will represent myself, my school and the
state of Oklahoma to the best of my ability. I hereby accept my responsibility to be a model of ethical
behavior, integrity and good citizenship.
